Malin Iovino is a talented Swedish designer based in London. Following a successful career in interior design she turned to handbag & fashion design. She designs and crafts bespoke handbags, straps, accessories & a line of contemporary classic clothing. Her collections are unique and beautiful. She weaves each handbag herself on a large traditional Swedish loom with techniques passed down to her from her Grandmother. She is an extremely talented & stylish designer, definitely one to watch.

Malin’s pieces are all bespoke and she currently designs two small collections each year.  Her attention to detail is second to none. She also works with clients to create unique designs ensuring the perfect fit.

Malin uses both premium and up-cycled materials for her handbags, with the main structure woven from snören – Swedish cord produced by one of the last traditional rope-makers in Sweden.

The bags can be customised with a choice of woven, leather, chain or resin straps, in a variety of colours. She brings out something new each season. The woven straps can also be purchased separately to add an individual touch to an existing handbag.

Some exciting news… Malin and I are ‘collaborating’ with some ideas for her spring summer collection. An idea which sparked while Malin was visiting me – she spotted some fabulous bright yarn of mine and we decided it could look gorgeous woven into some of her bags for the next season’s collection. The collection is going to be a little different to what she’s done before, some with rather vibrant colourful tones – exquisite. She has kindly named one of the handbags in the new collection ‘Lauren’ !

There will be a launch of her new collection on the 1st of May at my home, ‘At Number 16’.
